My life changed dramatically on Mother's Day 2013. Three days later I was diagnosed with cancer from my physician. This blog was made to keep my family and friends informed to what has been happening to me the past few weeks. When I find out news from different Doctor's through all of the procedures I have had, so many of you have wanted me to text, email, call, or someway contact you. It humbles me how many of you are concerned. Sometimes I forget to contact some of you. This way, you can stay in touch with what is happening now. Please feel free to comment. I hope I have it set up so you can. If not, I will ask Emily my daughter to help me, since she helped me get this set up.

I decided to take a recent photo of me before I start my chemo this week.  I may look haggard and bald after my series of treatment.  I don't know.  If I do loose my hair, should I :
1..wear a wig
2..wear a head wrap
3..wear a hat
4..go ah natural-bald  (please don't pick this one!!!)

  1. Mom, you're pretty enough you could go bald and still look beautiful! I have seen some very cute wraps recently...so I say 2.

  2. I think head wraps or a hat! But you would be just as beautiful bald! :) Emily is right.

  3. Well, I would say rock that beautiful bald head, but since you don't like that option my next pick is really funky and pretty wraps. Make a fashion statement that says...."Even if I could keep my hair I think I might like this better!!." You'll look beautiful either way because you ARE beautiful and every time I have ever looked at you my eyes are drawn straight to your smile! You have such an infectious and happy smile and chemo can't make that fall off.

  4. TerriLynn, I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through right now. I put your name in the temple today and we're continually sending prayers your way. Please let me know if there's anything I can do. I would love to help your awesome family in any way possible. And I agree with Emily, you will look beautiful no matter what you decide to go with... hat, wrap or bald! My dad is in Afghanistan and will be home in July. He also sends his love and has been very concerned. He thinks the world of you and Kim. I hope you hear some more positive news tomorrow!

  5. Why limit yourself? DO IT ALL! Somedays you might want the scarf, or a hat. Other days, you might want the wig. I think you should be able to have as many options as you wish. Try out new hairstyles and colors. Go for a number of wigs, and lots of cute hats and scarves! Love you!

  8. OH yes Terry Lynn,
Go for the bald look, with the weather in, the triple digits, by all means. Definitely go bald, where it will be very comfortable.
All you need is your Great Smile.
    Love you,
    Cristina

  9. Good morning Terry Lynn,
    How are you?
I am about the same, just glad that I am still
    alive.
You know, I was using the cream that you gave me,stupid me, I forgot how you open the bottle.
    Really dum, huh ?
I forget things all the time now, ah well !
But if you have a chance, in between other things more important than my face, I mean it, I've lived with this face for a few years.
I love you and admire to see how strong you are, keep up the great work.
    Love, Cristina R

  10. I hope you don't need any of them...but my vote goes for the head wrap or fancy scarves. Your smile is your best accessory anyway!
